Day 4.

Toothache day. Woke up with a toothache and was surprised to be able to get an appointment with my dentist today. The bad news is he is not sure what is wrong. The good news is it may be sinus and nothing to do with the tooth. I am on antibiotics for a few days to see what happens. Hopefully nothing bad as it is a long weekend coming up.

I did manage some me time. Preparation counts in my challenge and tonight I started basting the 64 cream hexagons I need for the next section of Cream Tea.

 

I have gone back to thread basting. Tried glueing but I am not a fan.

Ally has just popped her head in to see what I am doing. Time for bed I think.

 

 

Design Wall Monday

This last two weeks have been spent on lots of preparation so not much actual sewing progress to show.

First up I added some triangles to the centre of Cream Tea.

I also finished another Album block.

Also added a frame to the dahlia block. Fingers crossed it will sit flat once pressed.

Not massive but progress on three projects I am enjoying immensely.

To start this week we have the very traditional me. I added another triangle section to Cream tea.

Well there you have it - the start is also the finish of my progress this week. There has been lot more activity, mainly cutting but nothing else worth showing. Hopefully I will have done better next week.

Some little accomplishments this week. First up the third of sixteen album blocks completed.

I also completed another segment for Cream Tea.

My Trip Around the World quilt came back from the quilter. I'm currently working on the binding.

I also finished my third Grandmothers Star block. Not exactly sure what I have in mind for them but something will come to me.

Living up to my blog header this week was all about working on bits and pieces.

I added some bow-ties.

Some hexagons were added to this project at lunch.

A UFO that I can't remember why I stopped was resurrected. This is block 13 of 16.

The second album block was finished.

Flitting from project to project doesn't work for everyone I know but it seems to be the only way I can achieve things.
