I could show you a picture of last weeks top with the borders on - well I could if they were on yet! I do have them cut out so should get them on soon but then again maybe not.
So this weeks show and tell is not on my design wall it's on my table.
When I saw this book before Xmas I knew I had to own it. Loving it to pieces and will provide lots of inspiration for the future.
I love this quilt and it just so happens something similar is one of the projects I will be working on in class this year. I will say that the class quilt does not have anywhere near the amount of hexagons that are in this quilt. Can't show you a picture of that pattern yet as I respect my teachers right to ask us not to photograph current class projects. People pay a lot of money for classes so makes sense to me.
So what have I been doing this week. Hand piecing hexagons. They're my first love and it has been truly relaxing stitching them together. My paths are pink so here's a sneak peak. I'll show you again at the end of the year and we can see how much progress I have made.
Now head on over to Judy's to see what others have been up to.

I love the hexagons. They are so much fun and a great take-it-with-you project. I am working on one with one inch hexagons and diamonds. I have one finished on my blog. Drop over and take a look. I will be watching your blog to see how your quilt progress'. Sharie-Moss Bluff
I've never tried hexagons. I may need to try a very small quilt to get the technique a try. I usually do needlepoint or crossstitch, not hand quilting, so it would be a change!

Hexagons...yum!
I don't get the photograph banning thing...I seem to be hearing more about this kind of a trend. I do understand the importance of giving credit to the designer/teacher, but you would think people would be happy for the free publicity?!?
Can't wait to see this quilt as it comes together!
Dotted hexagons. What could be more beautiful!
Pink hexagons, nothing to do with the Kambrachallenge I wonder. I love hexagons too and funnily enough I have that excact same quilt picture in my file of "lovely lovely quilts".
Hexagons are so versitile - it will be fun to see what you are making with them. Cheers! Evelyn
I really enjoy making these also. I have a project going and will have to get it out and do some more on it. Putting it all together is fun too. Thanks for the photos!
Brenda - what are you stitching those over plastic or paper? They are really cute and portable too!
