February is normally a hot month. In fact this time last year was black Saturday when 173 Australians lost their lives.
The invitation when it arrived invited us to a wedding and a picnic. We were invited to dress in our picnic finery and assured that thongs were OK.
I didn't wear thongs as it was a cold and windy day but you have to love a bride who kicks back and enjoys her wedding! The thongs came out when the dancing on the lawn started.
One of the most relaxed and lovely weddings I have ever been to.
To the totals then:-
Week 6
Fabric used nil
Fabric used to date 6 1/4 metres
Goal for 2010 Use 100 metres
Head on over to Judy's to see how others are doing.

Beautiful thongs!
But, it gave me a good laugh since those are called flip-flops in the US and "thongs" usually refer to a particular style of undergarments!
Some of my Mom's relatives live in NZ and Australia and she would come back with stories on mistakes she made with words and of course, we would have to correct her on some phrases she picked up!
I'm glad it is cooler this year - it was interesting watching the Open and seeing people in jackets.

Those are lovely shoes! When I was growing up in Texas, we always called those "thong sandals". Flip flops were the rubberised ones we wore at the beach. It's so interesting how the same word can mean so many different things around the world! Glad you had a good time!

I love your sparkly flip flops/thongs and the sexy red toe nails. Sounds like a fun wedding.
I'm glad to hear it was a relaxed and fun wedding--those are the best! Here it is cold and lots of snowbanks.
Love the flip flops!
I agree with Liz (SpinningStar). . I at first equated thongs with undergarments! he he he
Having relaxed and fun-filled weddings are the best ones. It gives everyone a chance to enjoy the day.
