Design Wall Monday

This Monday I'm back to the tessellations quilt. At the moment I seem to be making one per month . 25 is my target so a way to go as this is block number 10.

The blocks are pieced using the English paper piecing method. Once they're prepped like this they go together quite quickly.

Design Wall Monday

It's been a grey and gloomy week here in Sydney but I'm not allowed to complain as the water is falling in our catchment area.

Light was not good for taking pictures so my apologies in advance.

I'm still working on my tessellations blocks. Here is number 9 all prepped for sewing whenever I have a minute. I'm still not sure if I'm making 16 or 25. Every time I see a new fabric combination I think yes I can do some more. The original quilt BTW had nine.



The second photo shows the start of another tessellation design using the same shapes. This time it's not blocks, you keeping adding rows. Will finish up the right size for a cute baby quilt.
