There would have been more but Laurie wasn't handy to hold the skein whilst I wound it into a ball. i think I need a yarn winder. Do you have a favourite type and if so why? Choice is limited here in Australia but I can always shop online if need be.

check at a knit/yarn store mine said they would let me use theirs even if I hadn't bought the yarn there.
I still wind my yarn by hand with the help of my husband or a straight backed chair. I do like the center pull skeins that a winder makes so easily.
