James

My friend James was diagnosed with brain tumours almost eighteen months ago. Since then he has had several surgeries, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and a wedding to the wonderful Elaine. It's a very aggressive type of cancer but he has defied the odds time and time again .

During this time I have learnt from him and Elaine that you need to find joy in the moment. One of the things he most wants is a puppy and I am not sure if that will happen. Today in the hospital grounds a very kind woman visiting her mother find time to share her puppy with James.

The look of joy on his face when he realised what was happening is a memory I will treasure forever.
