Day 12

Missed posting yesterday but with good reason. Ivy was here for the night. She is like a tornado at the moment so about the only time she is still is when she is having dinner. She does love her spaghetti.

I had class yesterday so managed to prep another block for the Red Riding Quilt. Eventually I will have to think of another name for it as mine is going to feature animals. All in good time.

My rose bush continues to delight.

Today I knew I was going to be tired so some time at lunch for some crochet.

Off in a minute to watch Survivor then it's bed for me.

Day 10

I had a little time to play with my new camera today. What else to take but pictures of flowers.

Cleo may also have crept into shot.

I have so much to learn before I can turn off the auto feature so will be looking for a class to take. I cannot justify buying any new lenses until I understand the basics of slr photography.

A little knitting happened while watching tv and I also started sewing some units for my next hexagon. There are meant to be four units like this one but I had managed to cut one the wrong way. Now to find the fabric again.

3/2/14

We have lived in this house for just over two years and I still have not got round to putting up a design wall. Lucky for me I was able to use the spare bed tonight.

I have pulled out a UFO to finish. It is to be a gift for a friend and the blocks have been made for over 12 months. She asked for a purple and grey quilt and that is what she is getting. Purple is my least favourite colour and perhaps that is why I have struggled so much with it.

I will tweak it a bit tomorrow but should be able to start sewing as well It does get sashing in between the rows.
