Some more progress this week on the Sunny Baby Blanket.
There would have been more but Laurie wasn't handy to hold the skein whilst I wound it into a ball. i think I need a yarn winder. Do you have a favourite type and if so why? Choice is limited here in Australia but I can always shop online if need be.

On my needles.
I finished knitting the Baby Kina earlier this week, A little sewing and darning left to do so a photo next week.
Continuing on the baby theme, I have cast on this blanket
.The yarn is from Spud & Chloe. It's a wool cotton mix and a joy to work with, It's a 10 ply so the blanket should work up quickly.

On my Needles
I had hoped to finish the Baby Kina this week but hit a road block. iI only had two balls of yarn and needed three, Fortunately I was able to pick up another ball today so should have a finish next week.
I have worked on another project. I had started a scarf to be my just before bed project. I like to do something just before I turn off the lights and this is the perfect project. A couple of rows take 5 minutes and there is no compelling need to have it done. I don't even wear scarf's. T love the pattern from Quince and Co. You use smaller needles on the alternate pattern rows to get the gathered effect. Very clever.

On my Needles
No surprises it's still the Baby Kina. Really happy with my progress to date. Finished the sleeves and I am now working on the body. Less stitches so will push for a finish this week.

On my needles
This weeks progress on the Baby Kina cardigan. The buttonholes and shaping are done. Now working down to the sleeve area. It may be for a little person but there are over 220 stitches on the needle so each row takes a while.

Sewing at Last
After a long hiatus I am finally sewing again. Today was a holiday and I spent it playing with the Fit to be Geese Ruler. After a slow start I worked out a system. I am in love with this ruler. I produced about 75 today and sewed together most of the components for one block. Only 98 and a bit more to go. Watch this space.

On my needles.
Judy has started a link up for what we are currently knitting. I haven't knitted in ages but had cast on a little cardigan last night for a girl who turns one in September, It is knitted from the top down, something I have never done. I look forward to sharing my progress each week.
